The Lucan Racing Pigeon Club
Is proud to host the
CU Convention and Race in Stratford, ON.
At the River Garden Inn,

October 8, 9, & 10, 2010
Only birds with Cu, Au and International Federation rings/bands can be accepted for the race.
There will be a multi-loft race on Sat. Oct. 9th, from the east, approx. 300 km.
weather permitting.
Breeders may designate 50% of their birds, 1 per loft, however they cannot designate which birds. All birds will be distributed on a draw basis. Handlers may enter birds, but are not allowed to handle their own birds. All entered birds are the responsibility of the handler and may be flown in regular club races, using the best of his/her judgment.
Entry Fee: $75.00 a bird
$10.00 will go to the Ladies auxiliary.
The club will retain 15% of the Entry Fee as well as 10% of all pools and loft and breeder auctions. Capital prize money will be split 50/50 between breeder/handler.
10% of birds entered will receive prize money.
Progressive pooling will be 10-1 starting 1,2,5,10,20, & 50
Loft Auctions on shipping night will be split 30%, 25%, 20%, 15%, 10%, for handlers and divided into 10 equal prizes for the breeders.
$25.00 winner take all.
Auction of birds returned from the race will be on Sunday, Oct. 10th.
Birds will be received April 17-May 8, 2010

Out of province birds are to be sent to the London International airport.

Hotel accommodation: will be at The River Garden Inn, 10 Romeo Street, Stratford, ON., with a standard room costing $129.00 a night. For this special group rate you must mention that you are with the CRPU Convention. Since this is still considered peak tourist season, rooms are limited and will be held for us only until September 1st. Book early!!! Phone 519-271- 4650 or 1 800 741 2135.
Convention Ticket Prices: will be $120.00 a person this year until September 1st. After that they will be $140.00 each until the deadline, September 15th. You can obtain tickets from Monik at the CU Office, or any member of the Ladies Aucilliary executive.
Stratford Theatre: Those of you wishing to partake in the theatre may want to book your tickets soon. There are 2 matinee shows available on Sat. Oct. 9th, Kiss Me Kate and Peter Pan.
